Muller died in his Warwickshire home Sunday morning (June 7)
Neil Muller, CEO of Node4 has sadly passed away in his home in Warwickshire the evening of Sunday June 7.
Node4 provided CRN with the below statement:
“We are absolutely devastated by the death of our CEO Neil Muller. Although Neil only recently joined Node4, he made a meaningful impact in a short space of time.
“He brought real energy, momentum and passion to the business, and his loss will be deeply felt by people across Node4 and the wider industry. Our thoughts are with Neil’s family, our colleagues and everyone who knew Neil at this very difficult time”.
A channel leader
Muller was named group CEO of the IT services firm in April.
He joined from cloud MSP Digital Space where he was at the helm for seven years.
Prior to Digital Space he spent almost four years at Daisy as group CEO.
Before stepping up to lead companies, Muller worked at number two ranked Top VAR Computacenter for more than two decades, assuming different exec roles until his appointment as UKI MD in 2011.
A leader in and out of the channel
Muller exemplified true leadership outside of his day job.
He was an active fundraiser and last year cycled 345km from Great Yarmouth to Warwick in only 2.5 days to raise £50,000 for a charity supporting children across the UK living with life-threatening illnesses.
Muller was also manager of his local football club, Claverdon FC.
Warwickshire Police have launched an investigation following Muller’s death.
A 55-year-old woman from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been released on bail, according to an update from Warwickshire Police.
The force received a report from ambulance services at 6:15am on Sunday about a man in his 50s who required emergency medical care following a stab wound in his chest.
Sadly, he was declared deceased at the scene at 6:37am.
CRN sends its thoughts to Muller’s loved ones and Node4 family during this extremely difficult time.
