Options completes Crossvale buyout to boost private cloud and AI capabilities
The deal builds on the firms’ existing partnership and the rising demand for modernisation across financial services
Options Technology has completed its purchase of US-HQ Crossvale as it intends to modernise financial institutions’ private cloud and AI environment.
The deal, first announced in February, follows an existing partnership between the two firms, with joint deployments already underway.
Crossvale’s capabilities in containerisation, application modernisation and database migration will be integrated into the firm’s platform and combined with its global private cloud infrastructure.
The organisation, which ranks number 71 on CRN’s Top VARs list, noted that the buyout comes as financial sector firms reassess public cloud strategies and prioritise cost predictability, operational control and regulatory compliance.
“Completing the acquisition of Crossvale allows us to deliver a more comprehensive platform, combining private cloud, modernisation and AI in a way that is purpose-built for financial services,” said Danny Moore, president and CEO of Options.
“As clients navigate increasing regulatory pressure and the need to modernise at pace, we are now positioned to support them with an integrated, secure and high-performance solution.”
Todd Millard, CEO of Crossvale, added: “From day one, we are bringing together deep modernisation expertise with a global infrastructure platform that is trusted by financial institutions worldwide.
“Together, we can accelerate client transformation programmes and deliver outcomes at scale.”
The move marks Options’ first takeover since its purchase of packet capture and analytics platform Packets2Disk in 2024.
It also follows a year of increased focus on the US market for the London-based firm.
In July, the company expanded into NY3, Equinix’s International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre in New Jersey, to provide proximity hosting and ultra-low-latency connectivity to financial firms.
In March, it opened a new office in Chicago.
This expansion was partly driven by a “significant” investment from private equity firm Vitruvian Partners in late 2024.
It was also fuelled by the firm’s FY24 results, as revenue leapt 28.1 per cent to £84m over the period.
Several UK partners have expanded their North American footprint through acquisitions since the start of 2026.
Earlier this year, Logicalis bought out Ohio-based cybersecurity and IT solutions firm Maple Woods Enterprises, while Integrity360 swooped Canadian cybersecurity provider Advantus360.
Last month, Creative ITC also announced new US headquarters in Houston to scale delivery across North America.
