Pure Storage today announces it has rebranded to Everpure and struck a deal to acquire data intelligence firm 1touch, as it looks to position itself at the forefront of enterprise data management in the AI era.

The vendor said the rebrand reflects its evolution from reshaping storage to defining the future of data management, with a sharpened focus on helping customers make their data secure, accessible and intelligent.

Alongside the name change, Everpure has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 1touch, a US-based data intelligence and orchestration organisation that provides a unified view of enterprise information across environments.

The move will extend the Everpure Platform with advanced data discovery and semantic context capabilities.

By integrating core storage with 1touch’s ability to discover, classify, contextualise and enrich data across SaaS applications, on-prem environments and the edge, Everpure aims to ensure enterprise data is AI-ready at the source.

Ashish Gupta, CEO and president of 1touch, said the combination would remove longstanding obstacles preventing organisations from extracting full value from their data.

“By joining forces with Everpure, we can eliminate the barriers that have kept enterprises from realising the true ROI of their data,” he said.

“Together, we will further expand the Everpure platform to provide a level of contextual intelligence that is unmatched in the industry, giving customers the foundation they need to move AI projects from pilot to production at record speed and trust.”

Charles Giancarlo, CEO of Everpure, added that the acquisition marks the next phase in the company’s data management ambitions.

“With 1touch, we are taking the next step in helping organisations not only gain control of their most valuable asset - data - but also understand, enhance, and contextualise that data for actionable intelligence,” he noted.

The firm’s rebrand comes after Giancarlo told CRNhe sees Everpure as “the company that continues and will continue to innovate in the data storage space.”

“What really differentiates us from our competition is from our beginning we looked at data storage as high technology whereas most of our competitors,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Geoff Greenlaw, VP channel, EMEA & LatAm at Pure Storage told CRN recently the vendor’s ambition for 2026 centres on simplifying data management to the point where storage fades into the background.

Pure Storage will begin trading as Everpure on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from 5 March.
