Redcentric completes £125m datacentre sale

The final consideration came in more than £2.05m above the MSP’s previous estimate

Redcentric has completed the sale of its datacentre business to Stellanor Datacenters Group for a final cash consideration of £124.9m.

The Harrogate-based MSP initially expected to receive £122.85m from the disposal of Redcentric Data Centres Limited when it announced the deal in May.

Redcentric received £115.4m on 30 April, with the remaining consideration subject to customary post-completion adjustments.

Following the agreement of the completion statement, the final consideration came in £2.05m above the company’s previous estimate.

Redcentric has now received a final balancing payment of £9.46m from Stellanor, bringing the transaction to a close.

The disposal sees Redcentric exit the ownership and operation of its datacentre estate, with the group continuing to focus on its wider managed services business.

In December, CEO Michelle Senecal de Fonseca, toldCRN that the datacentre sale was transformational and de-risked the MSP business.

“When we analysed market growth areas - cyber, cloud, AI and automation - we focused on the domains where we already have capability but need to go deeper,” she explained.

The sale follows a transformative time for the company as it revamped its leadership team.

In April, Josie Smith joined Redcentric as chief customer officer.

In June, the firm announced that Tim Sykes would be replacing Tony Ratcliffe as CFO following a ten-month tenure.

In July, Steve O’Brien was promoted to CTO after nearly three years as MD of cloud services and cybersecurity and marketing director Graham Brown transitioned to chief marketing and strategy officer.

In August, Nick Helman became COO of the organisation.

Ratcliffe previously told CRN that it the company expected to return to growth in FY27 following a more challenging FY26.

In its trading update for the year ended 31 March, top line dropped two per cent to £132.1m.

On the other hand, adjusted EBITDA reached about £17.5m, ahead of FY26 market expectations of £17.2m.

Redcentric ranks number 25 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
