Renaissance teams up with Impossible Cloud to expand Irish cloud storage portfolio
The deal targets rising demand for data sovereignty across Europe
Dublin-based distributor Renaissance has joined forces with German vendor Impossible Cloud to deliver its cloud storage platform across the Irish market.
Under the agreement, Renaissance will add Impossible Cloud’s S3-compatible object storage to its portfolio, making the service available to Irish channel partners including resellers, MSPs and MSSPs.
Impossible Cloud provides object storage designed for use cases such as backup, archive, disaster recovery and other data-intensive workloads.
The vendor positions its platform around security and compliance requirements, with support for EU data residency and alignment with frameworks including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The collaboration comes as demand continues to grow for cloud services that address regulatory requirements and data sovereignty concerns, particularly among organisations operating under GDPR rules.
Renaissance said the addition of Impossible Cloud will support partners looking to offer storage services that meet compliance expectations while also managing costs.
Michael Conway, director of Renaissance, said organisations are increasingly focused on where data is stored and how it is managed.
“Impossible Cloud offers a compelling European-built alternative that aligns strongly with our partner-first approach, allowing us to help Irish partners deliver resilient, transparent and future-ready storage solutions,” he added.
Daniel Arabié, VP of sales EMEA at Impossible Cloud, noted the partnership will support the company’s expansion in Ireland through the channel.
“Together, we’re enabling organisations to meet data sovereignty and compliance requirements without compromising on performance, transparency or cost control,” he said.
The announcement follows a period of increased activity for the distie in the Irish market.
Earlier this month, it signed a partnership with TP-Link to distribute its Omada networking portfolio across Ireland.
In March, Renaissance also announced a collaboration with virtualised computing vendor NEXINEO, aimed at bringing its virtual desktop technology to Irish customers through the channel.
The organisation has expanded its footprint since being acquired by UK-based distributor Northamber in 2024 for €900k (£785.5k).
At the time of the buyout, the business reported revenue of around €5.15m.
