London-based IT services provider Shearwater has secured a £1.8m agreement through its subsidiary Brookcourt Solutions to deliver a hardware platform and associated engineering services for a UK telecoms operator.

The contract will be delivered within the current financial year.

Under the arrangement, Brookcourt will design, supply and implement a resilient hardware platform, alongside ongoing service engineering and support.

The solution is intended to boost the customer’s ability to monitor network performance and operational data across its infrastructure.

“We are delighted to have been selected to deliver this strategically important programme for a longstanding customer and one of the UK’s leading telecommunications operators,” said Phil Higgins, CEO of Shearwater.

“This contract reflects the strength of our integrated hardware and service engineering capability and our continued focus on delivering scalable solutions for mission-critical environments.”

This marks the third contract won by the firm’s subsidiary since the start of 2026.

Last month, Brookcourt signed a £1.3m agreement with another UK telecoms operator.

In February, it landed a cyber defence contract worth around £9m with a global financial services organisation.

It also secured various frameworks last year, such as a £4.4m data security contract with a telecoms and media provider in May as well as a deal renewal valued at approximately £8.4m with another customer in the same sector.

The latest win comes as Shearwater reported strong growth for the 15 months to 30 June.

Top line rose 29 per cent to £39.5m (FY24: £24.4m), driven by demand for cybersecurity.

This was reflected in its services division, which increased 34 per cent to £37m, supported by public and private sector demand.

On the other hand, the company’s software unit, which accounts for around six per cent of revenue, declined 14.9 per cent to £2.6m amid competitive pressures.

Adjusted EBITDA skyrocketed 91 per cent, from £0.9m to £2.2m.
