Softcat expands Glasgow footprint with move to larger city-centre office
The UK's largest reseller has relocated its Glasgow team to a bigger office in the sustainable Cadworks development, continuing a multi-year programme of regional expansion and workplace investment across the UK
CRN UK's top-ranked VAR Softcat has relocated its Glasgow operations to a larger office in the city's Cadworks development, expanding its footprint in Scotland as it continues to invest in its UK office estate.
The reseller has moved into more than 10,000 sq ft of space on the fourth floor of Cadworks, a sustainable office development in Glasgow city centre. The new site replaces Softcat's previous office at Nelson Mandela Place and is designed to provide additional capacity for employees, customers and partners.
According to Softcat, the office includes expanded collaboration areas, meeting rooms, breakout spaces and facilities aimed at supporting hybrid working and future growth.
“Strong customer relationships are built on collaboration, trust and spending time together, and our new Glasgow office gives us an even better space to do exactly that,” said Softcat sales manager Tom Hough.
“Whether we're hosting customers, working alongside partners or bringing colleagues together to solve challenges, this move creates more opportunities to connect and deliver great outcomes. We're looking forward to welcoming customers into our new home and continuing to support their success from the heart of Glasgow."
Softcat's real estate upgrade continues
Softcat’s latest UK office expansion in Glasgow follows a roster of other cities it has upgraded its premises in.
Last year that induced doubling its space in Dublin, and a relocation in Bristol and London. While in 2024, Softcat grew its team in the midlands with a Birmingham office refresh.
At the time, the LSE-listed reseller said expanding its regional footprint would enable it to better support customers while increasing its presence across the UK.
Against that backdrop, the Glasgow move appears to be another step in the evolution of Softcat's regional network, which now spans locations including Marlow, London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Dublin.
Hybrid working drives channel office rethink
The relocation comes as vendors, distributors and resellers continue to reassess their workplace strategies in the hybrid-working era. While some channel firms have reduced office space or consolidated locations, others have opted to invest in upgraded sites designed to support collaboration, customer engagement and recruitment.
For Softcat, the Glasgow move represents a further investment in an established regional hub.
The enlarged office provides additional space for the team and continues a regional expansion programme that has seen the reseller add new UK locations while upgrading existing ones over the past decade.
