Supermicro reports whopping FY26 results as Q4 net sales nearly double
Annual revenue leapt 78 per cent as the company expanded its AI datacentre footprint
US-based vendor Supermicro has reported soaring FY26 net sales boosted by demand for AI and datacentre infrastructure in its unaudited financial results for the year ended 30 June.
Turnover skyrocketed 77.8 per cent to $39.1bn (£28.9bn), compared with $22bn in FY25.
The results were bolstered by a strong end to the year, with Q4 net sales almost doubling, skyrocketing 93.2 per cent year-on-year from $5.8bn to $11.1bn (£8.2bn).
“Our Total AI/IT Solutions strategy continues to deliver strong results, we added several hundred enterprise and other customers in the past year, generated more than $60bn in new orders and booked record backlog entering FY27,” said founder, president and CEO Charles Liang.
“As demand accelerates, we are improving profitability through a richer enterprise customer mix and broader adoption of our optimised Data Centre Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) architecture.
“Combined with continued investment in technology leadership, manufacturing scale, and global compliance, we are enabling customers to deploy AI infrastructure faster and more efficiently.”
Q4 net sales soar 93 per cent
Supermicro closed FY26 with its strongest quarterly turnover of the year.
Q4 net sales rose 93.2 per cent year-on-year to $11.1bn, compared with $5.8bn during the same period last year.
The vendor said its AI infrastructure strategy helped drive the performance, adding several hundred enterprise and other customers during FY26 and generating more than $60bn in new orders.
Supermicro entered FY27 with a record order backlog, with Liang pointing to rising demand and an increasing enterprise customer mix.
Supermicro eyes up to $72bn in FY27
Moving forward, the vendor expects another significant turnover increase during FY27.
Supermicro forecasts FY27 net sales of between $65bn and $72bn, which would represent a jump of between 66 and 84 per cent from FY26 at either end of the range.
For Q1 FY27, the company expects top line of between $14.5bn and $15.5bn.
The results remain preliminary and unaudited, with Supermicro warning that its final figures could differ following the completion of its financial closing procedures.
