The 2027 Sales and Marketing Awards (SMAs) launch today!

Celebrating their 15th year, the SMAs are back to celebrate the individuals and teams that power the IT channel

With crystal being the stone that is used to celebrate a 15th anniversary, 2027 is going to be a year for the Sales and Marketing Awards to truly sparkle!

At times it doesn’t seem possible that the awards have been going for so long, but they have gone from strength to strength, mainly because of all the brilliant work that the sales and marketing teams across the channel ecosystem do on a daily basis. Why wouldn’t anyone want to celebrate such brilliance?

The Awards themselves will take place in May – date to be announced soon! And of course will be in a central London location. Keep your eyes on Channelweb for more details.

Something for everyone

This year we have 19 categories to choose from with many of the popular favourites from previous years still in there, such as Best Company to Work For, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Partner or Customer Event, and Best Marketing Team.

We have a new category called Best AI Deployment – this is aimed at resellers that have implemented an AI solution or strategy for a customer – we want to hear about some of the amazing work that AI is facilitating in the channel.

Also, the Technology Innovation Award has been tweaked slightly for the vendors – we really want to hear how your amazing technology innovation is actually helping partners and customers to shine.

We also have two new general categories – Marketing Star and Sales Star – to really help those amazing individuals that are going above and beyond shine brightly. This can be someone who has been in their role for a number of years, or someone who is fairly new to the industry and who has hit the ground running.

Be prepared

As ever, it is advised to read the criteria for every category before you submit an entry – we have carefully constructed the criteria to be the most helpful it can be, and it will really give you an idea of what the judges will be looking for.

Feel free to enter as many categories as you like, but please do make sure your entries are relevant and different enough to stand out – it is always better to put in one or two really strong entries, than five or six similar, weaker ones.

Don’t forget to make these entries about the people behind your success – the more personal the better. Use humour, make sure you have testimonials and stats included in the entry, make your entry shine more than the brightest crystal you can imagine!

The deadline for entries is Friday 5 February. Have a look at the official Sales and Marketing website here for more information, and the very best of luck to you all.

We cannot wait to read all about your success and the people behind it!
