Zoom promotes Tony McNish to EMEA channel chief
The appointment follows a year of partner programme updates and turnover rise
US-based videoconferencing vendor Zoom has named Tony McNish as head of channel for EMEA, following nearly two years leading the company’s UKI business.
McNish announced the move on LinkedIn.
“This is an incredible opportunity to work with our amazing partner ecosystem across EMEA, driving growth and innovation through strategic partnerships,” he wrote.
He added his focus will be on working closely with the firm’s regional channel teams, doubling down on the vendor’s partner-first approach and delivering results through its reimagined channel track, Zoom Up 3.0.
The updated programme, based on feedback, introduces distinct tracks for resale and agency firms alongside a dynamic points-based rewards system and an annual assessment period, Nick Tidd, head of global channel go-to-market, told CRN in November.
It also reportedly expands collaborator segmentation to help customers identify the most suitable partners for their needs.
The scheme overhaul forms part of a broader effort by Zoom to strengthen its ecosystem and increase services-led opportunities for the channel.
In June, the vendor launched its Service Provider Program aimed at helping qualifying service providers deliver unified communications solutions enabled by Zoom.
The appointment also comes as the organisation continues to invest in the EMEA region.
In November, it confirmed plans to open a new UK datacentre in 2026 to unlock new opportunities in sectors such as the public sector, healthcare and financial services.
This announcement follows a period of growth for the business, at it reported a 4.4 per cent year-on-year revenue rise for FY26, reaching $4.9bn (£3.65bn).
The momentum reflected “the growing adoption of Zoom as a system of action for modern work,” according to founder and CEO Eric S Yuan.
In Q4 FY26, the company’s top line stood at $1.25bn, up 5.3 per cent year-on-year.
Before joining the US vendor, McNish held his first channel leadership role at cloud communications provider RingCentral between 2020 and 2024.
Over the course of his career, he has also worked with several IT organisations including TD SYNNEX, Avnet Technology Solutions and Clarity Technology.
McNish’s promotion follows a series of leadership changes at the company over the past 12 months.
In August, the firm named Awinash Sinha chief digital information officer and GM of Zoom Revenue Accelerator, while Todd Reeves joined as chief people officer.
In May, Sandra McLeod stepped into the role of chief information security officer (CISO).
A month prior, it appointed Kimberly Storin as CMO.
