Version 1 bolsters ESG strategy with Digital Transformation Solutions alliance

The partnership will be made available to more than 140 public sector agencies across 100 countries

Version 1 has announced a strategic collaboration with Digital Transformation Solutions to support financial supervision worldwide via GovSpace, an operating system for public sector transformation.

The partnership will focus on developing and deploying AI and machine learning capabilities with Google to help financial supervisors address challenges such as financial crime prevention, fraud detection, climate risk monitoring, consumer protection and AI governance.

It will be made available to more than 140 public sector agencies in over 100 countries.

Through the alliance, Version 1 will provide cloud and AI engineering skills to support the organisation’s mission of delivering resilient, transparent and sustainable financial sectors globally, while enhancing features on GovSpace.

The work will include expanding recommendation engines, conversational AI assistants, model data pipelines and scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

GovSpace was launched in 2025 through the Cambridge SupTech Lab, an initiative implemented by Digital Transformation Solutions in collaboration with the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.

“We are privileged to be chosen as partners to Digital Transformation Solutions and work alongside world-class researchers and practitioners supporting its vital mission of strengthening financial supervision through technology,” said Sat Gainda, head of technology partnerships at Version 1.

“It’s always highly rewarding to apply data and AI capabilities for meaningful social impact while advancing the frontiers of regulatory technology at the same time.”

Matt Grasser, CTO of digital transformation solutions and co-founder of the Cambridge SupTech Lab, added: “By bringing people, processes, data, and technology together in one place, we’re helping agencies accelerate transformation, sustain innovation and work alongside their peers to solve complex challenges more effectively.

“We’re grateful for Version 1’s support in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver this work at global scale.”

Digital Transformation Solutions was matched with Version 1 through Tech To The Rescue, a global movement in which tech companies work pro bono with non-profits.

The partnership reportedly aligns with the Dublin-based organisation’s ESG roadmap, as it aims to use technology for positive societal change.

The firm has doubled down on alliances to reinforce its social strategy over the past 12 months.

In August, the IT consultancy signed a £190m contract with Lincolnshire County Council to enhance the delivery of public services such as education, adult care and social services.

A month earlier, it collaborated with International Schools Partnership to personalise learning, ease teacher workload and improve student outcomes through AI tools.

In February, the business announced its collaboration with Health Service Executive (HSE) to facilitate collaboration, communication and data sharing between healthcare professionals.

The company’s UK arm ranks number 39 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
