Arrow ECS targets partners for RES
Workspace management vendor appoints second UK distributor
Workspace management vendor RES Software has added Arrow ECS to its distribution stable to assist with its partner recruitment activities in the UK.
The agreement will see Arrow, which already holds distribution rights for RES's products in North America, market the firm's desktop personalisation and management tools to resellers across the UK.
RES told CRN that it wants to double the size of its UK partner base over the coming year, with the help of Arrow and incumbent distributor CDG UK.
Chris Hammans, UK regional director at RES, said: "We are absolutely taking this country very seriously; this year will probably end up doubling the size of our channel community.
"Our routes to market are quite varied and include SIs, such as Fujitsu, Capgemini and Atos Origin, as well as small IT consultancies and big corporate resellers."
Hammans was keen to stress the new deal would not compromise its long-standing relationship with CDG UK.
He added: "The two very nicely augment each other and do not compete. CDG remains a different type of distributor for us in the UK by focusing on the desktop-as-a-service market. The Arrow ECS channel is broader."
Steve Pearce, UK managing director for Arrow ECS, said the relationship with RES would bolster its cloud computing portfolio.
Pearce said: "We are looking forward to working with RES to package solutions that will provide real value to customers and will ensure that our resellers are successful in delivering these projects."
