Redstone marks end of restructuring with more job cuts
VAR places all its brands under one entity as it looks to growth with new management team
Redstone has shed more staff as it announces it has completed its restructuring process, which it began last September.
As a result, all parts of the business, including Fujin, Redstone Managed Solutions and Redstone Converged Solutions, have now been consolidated into a single trading entity, which is branded Redstone, and a new management team is in place.
In a statement, the firm said the activity of "realigning the cost base" has resulted in a further headcount reduction of 83 people.
This is on top of the 172 staff that have either left the group through recent business disposals or who have been transferred to new owners under TUPE regulations.
The company now has 442 members of staff.
Last year, the firm appointed Ian Smith as chairman and Tony Weaver as chief executive, whose remit was to reposition the company as a more focused, higher-margin business, delivering network-based, end-to-end managed services, technology and infrastructure solutions.
Tony Weaver, chief executive of Redstone, said: “We are looking forward to devoting 100 per cent of our time and energy to driving the business forward as a single entity. We have a strong pipeline of new business opportunities and the capacity to move quickly in converting these leads into profitable revenues.
“I would like to thank the staff for their patience and diligence through this difficult period of restructuring. I would also like to thank those staff no longer with the company for their service and contribution,” he said.
