Crowthorne shows True Colours

Audiovisual distributor moves to new Berkshire headquarters

True Colours Distribution has moved to new headquarters at Technology House in Crowthorne, Berkshire, from its previous home in Yateley.

Iain Campbell, sales director at True Colours, said the spacious new premises feature a full HD training room, large demonstration facilities with edge-blending and multi-image processing, video wall technologies, control system and IP delivery.

"The facilities are primarily for our dealers, who can come here for training and bring their clients to show them systems in operation," Campbell said.

"In the past, dealers were selling out of a catalogue or a price list. A true value distributor needs to be able to show the products they sell in real life with a demonstration."

The Crowthorne site has multiple meeting rooms, a technical support and testing room, a breakout room and reception areas where the Midwich subsidiary can host client events.

Campbell said the distributor's needs had changed. Hardware sales have increased, and the company also now presents more comprehensive offerings as well as services.

The industry needs to work more efficiently and move away from building racks with 20 distributors or manufacturers supplying them, according to Campbell, and the new HQ will support more "one-stop" type shopping.

Open days at the new site will be held in April and will include tech demonstrations.
