Change at the top for LuxTech
Mitchell Feldman joins VAR as MD as founder Russell Lux takes CEO role to focus on move into cloud services
VAR Luxtech has snapped up former sales and marketing director of The Internet Group (TIG) Mitchell Feldman as its new managing director.
Feldman (pictured) spent 10 years at the managed services provider and his last day at the firm was on 28 February. Incumbent Luxtech managing director Russell Lux is moving into a role as chief executive.
Lux will be leading his firm's charge into the cloud arena. This month the Hertfordshire-based VAR inked a partnership with Google, and will be offering cloud services including videoconferencing, email archiving and online backup.
"The IT market is changing rapidly and we are seeing a significant trend towards businesses of all sizes embracing the cloud," said Lux. "Unlike most IT companies who are fighting it, here at Luxtech we have embraced it with open arms.
"Aligning with Google was the natural choice for us as they guarantee 100 per cent uptime and offer a highly secure and powerful platform that complements client requirements."
Adam Maurice, managing director of TIG, stressed that the firm's leadership team still contains the skills of Paul Edgeley, the former Lynx boss who joined TIG in 2009.
"We are looking at various things internally on how to structure the sales department going forward," added Maurice.
