Magirus rolls out Veeam training courses

Distributor supports launch of vendor's competency-based partner programme with new training initiative

Pan-European distributor Magirus has launched a training academy aimed at helping Veeam partners get to grips with the vendor's new partner accreditation scheme.

Veeam unveiled a reworked version of its ProPartner channel programme earlier this month to support the growth of its virtualisation management portfolio.

For instance, Veeam has introduced an Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) competency to the programme. When completed, this will provide the firm's Gold partners with up to 12 per cent more margin on certain products.

In response, Magirus has introduced a series of free, one-day seminars under the Veeam Accreditation Academy banner.

The classroom-based courses will run throughout April and May. They will be aimed at partners' technical and sales teams and will provide them with the content needed to pass the online EMS exam and acquire Veeam's Gold partner status.

Denise Bryant (pictured), UK managing director at Magirus, said: "We want to help new and existing Veeam partners to build skills to differentiate in their chosen markets."

Ian Wells, Northern EMEA regional director at Veeam, added: "The academy represents an extra layer of value from Magirus by providing resellers with a fast track to skill up for our Gold and EMS ProPartner virtualisation management certification."
