Softcat gets it all on for Red Nose Day

Softcat Red Nose Day 2011

Cross-dressing, chilli eating and fish pedicures by VAR raises thousands for Comic Relief

Staff of reseller Softcat in London, Manchester and Marlow joined forces to participate in a range of activities that raised £24,000 for Red Nose Day 2011.

According to the VAR, the aim was simply to 'do something funny for money'.

Sponsored cross-dressing was apparently popular, with one male employee raising £595 in his bid to dress up as Jennifer Aniston.

Other activities included face painting, fancy dress, a bake-off, a swear box, a bouncy castle, a five-hour barbecue, video gaming, a raffle, a chilli-eating competition and a natural pedicure using live fish.

Overall, the activities raised £12,000 for Comic Relief, with Softcat adding in another £12,000.
