Jewell takes Brocade crown in UK

Mitel man Marcus Jewell appointed vendor's UK and Ireland boss

Brocade has appointed long-serving Mitel executive Marcus Jewell as its new UK and Ireland leader.

In the past couple of years the vendor has made no secret of its desire to increase its mind- and wallet-share of the networking channel, following its acquisition of Foundry Networks in 2008. The incoming UK and Ireland country manager joins Brocade with more than 15 years of networking experience at companies including Xerox and comms integrator MiTech.

Eight years ago, Jewell (pictured) joined vendor Mitel and, last year, stepped up to the role of overseeing the vendor's enterprise sales across the UK and Ireland. At Brocade he replaces former UK chief Paul Phillips, who departed last year.
