C2000 readies for Office 365
Distribution giant renames Microsoft online services and enablement activation programme as launch date approaches
Computer 2000 (C2000) has re-christened its Microsoft online services and enablement activation programme as the launch of Office 365 looms.
Formerly known as BPOS-InterConnect, the programme has been renamed Cloud Partner Connect, and aims to provide resellers with knowledge development, pre-sales support and advice, lead generation and marketing activity that will help them drive sales of Microsoft Online Services.
C2000 has already recruited more than 50 resellers for the initial phase of the programme and is expecting a spike in members with the launch of Office 365.
The programme is run in partnership with AIMS Online Services, a partner-to-partner IT consultancy which specialises in assisting VARs with the adoption and delivery of Microsoft Online Services.
Dwayne Earl, Microsoft business manager at C2000, said: "C2000 has invested early to ensure that resellers can get on board and maximise the benefits to the full when demand for Microsoft Online Services starts to rise.
"Many are already reporting high levels of interest from SME customers and with the launch of Office 365 fast approaching, we are expecting the demand for information and demonstrations to accelerate, so this is the ideal time to get on board."
Peter Kempton, managing director of AIMS Online Services, added: "Computer 2000 showed strong leadership and was well ahead of the curve with BPOS-Interconnect and by renaming the programme to reflect the forthcoming release and adding in other Microsoft Online Service products, it is staying ahead. The software market is changing resellers need to be aware of and adapt to those changes. Cloud Partner Connect gives them the opportunity to do that."
