Imago finds IPTV a Breeze

Three-way partnership puts IPTV in a box

Distributor Imago Group and developer Breeze Technologies have teamed up with French IPTV middleware provider Vianeos to offer IPTV in a box.

The distributor will offer Breeze Technologies' TVIUM DVB-T set top box with Vianeos's Octopus middleware for managing multimedia content across an IPTV network. According to Imago, this is a broadening of the seven-year relationship with Breeze.

Kevin Crofts, managing director of Breeze, said: "Customers running private networks, such as universities, schools, hospitals, hotels, oil rigs, business centres and offices, will be able to access a fully integrated package for IPTV video delivery."

Imago Group will introduce the offering to its specialist resellers and systems integrators.

Peter Nice, head of new business at Imago, added: "This type of solution will become more important, particularly here in the UK, as digital television gains pace."
