Computerlinks up with Pillar for cloud push
Distributor joins forces with storage vendor to help end users embrace cloud and virtualisation
Distributor Computerlinks has added storage vendor Pillar Data Systems to its burgeoning networking, security and virtualisation product portfolio.
Through the deal, Computerlinks will be responsible for marketing Pillar's Axiom storage platform to its channel partners across the UK and Ireland.
The distributor said the product will be used to add weight to its "next-generation datacentre strategy", which is aimed at providing end users with the infrastructure required to embrace cloud and virtualisation.
David Ellis, director of new technology and services at Computerlinks, said: "[Pillar] is a perfect fit with our next-generation datacentre proposition, which is capturing the attention of resellers at the moment with the explosion in cloud computing and virtualisation."
Jonathan Hebbes, NEMEA regional director at Pillar, added: "We believe that the partnership perfectly reflects our vision of helping customers drive down infrastructure costs by delivering a single platform that can address all the application requirements of a next-generation datacentre."
