Maverick steps up Promethean investment
Sales growth over past year to be nurtured further
Maverick is stepping up its programme of investment in its exclusive partnership with interactive whiteboards specialist Promethean, in hope of building on recent sales.
Sid Stanley, head of Maverick UK, said the distributor has seen sales of Promethean product double in the past year. It is now hiring two field-based heads to concentrate on growing those sales further.
"We have developed an excellent relationship with Promethean and its partner channel and, through their continual innovation and through sales, logistics, financial and marketing support, grown our Promethean sales very significantly indeed," he Stanley.
"We are now stepping up the pace so that we can maintain this momentum."
Education, public sector and commercial markets would be an ongoing focus.
Maverick is recruiting two new members to the Maverick team who will be dedicated to Promethean resellers, providing training and assistance with demonstrations.
Ian Curtis, head of Promethean for the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe, said he was pleased with the growth through such a time of slower public sector spending.
"In a mature market and with a cautious public sector, Maverick's successes speak for themselves," he said.
