ADA has a Sega experience
VAR upgrades gaming behemoth's entire European server infrastructure in just two days
VAR ADA Technology Services has completed a specialist project for gaming giant Sega Europe, upgrading its entire server infrastructure over a 48-hour period.
ADA designed and installed a large number of high-speed, copper-link panels across 10 active server cabinets and ensured the infrastructure was geared towards further expansion, which Sega is planning for later in 2011.
Stuart Wright, Sega Europe’s IT and network director, said: “As an internationally renowned computer games publisher, SEGA has worked with countless IT providers in the past, however, ADA’s knowledge, expertise and confidence is unparalleled.
“The implications of taking down SEGA’s entire European server infrastructure were huge, however, we had complete faith in ADA’s ability from the outset. We now look forward to developing a long-lasting partnership,” he said.
Rob Murphy, head of advanced infrastructure at ADA Technology Services Ltd, added: “Our work with SEGA Europe demonstrated ADA’s ability to deliver complex infrastructural work in exceptionally short timeframes.
“To deliver a project of this scale over a weekend, in the knowledge that it had to be operational by the start of the working week, is testament to our technical capabilities and demonstrates SEGA’s trust in ADA,” he added.
