HP Services branches into high-end consulting
IT services monolith unveils consultancy portfolio focused on cloud, architectures and M&A
HP Services has unveiled a range of high-end consulting services to advise end users on issues including cloud computing and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
HP Strategic IT Advisory Services is focused on helping business build an IT strategy and use technology to drive innovation into their business. The consultancy suite will be built around six areas: IT strategy and transformation; strategic service management; enterprise architecture; the business value of IT; cloud business readiness and M&A.
HP claims that IT chiefs' performance is increasingly judged against business, rather than technology, objectives.
Arthur Filip, general manager, technology consulting at HP, said: "When CIOs are measured against enterprise objectives, they look for partners to help them craft and implement their technology strategy. HP Strategic IT Advisory Services fills the gap between business and technology consulting by putting clients on the path to delivering enterprise objectives through technology."
