Ingram Micro bags a RIM first
Distributor becomes first in the UK to offer the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System
Ingram Micro has further cemented its RIM relationship by adding the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (MVS) to its books.
The distribution giant is the first UK partner to offer the UC products, which provide one business phone number, one caller ID, one voice mailbox and office phone features through BlackBerry smartphones.
Matt Sanderson, managing director of Ingram Micro, said: “We have been working to expand the range of telecommunications services and products on offer. To be selected as the first UK distributor to offer the MVS products is a significant win for us, and highlights that our goals of becoming a major player in the telco market are being realised in a short space of time.”
Ingram first struck up a partnership with RIM last December after setting up its specialist networking division the previous April.
The distributor recently announced its intentions to bolster its product lines, both locally and at a European level, by increasing brand coverage in netbooks and mobile accessories.
