Close shave for NetApp staff
Twenty-six staff from the firm's UK HQ shave their heads in the name of charity
Storage vendor NetApp has raised more than £15,000 for two children's cancer charities after 26 of its UK employees took part in a sponsored head-shaving event.
The proceeds raised by the event on 31 March are being split between the St Baldrick's Foundation and CLIC Sargent charities.
Dave Allen (pictured centre), managing director of NetApp UK and Ireland, said the firm would not hesitate in doing something similar to support both charities next year.
"As a global company, we have worked with St Baldrick's for a number of years, but this is the first time the NetApp UK team has risen to the challenge to contribute to children and families in need," he said.
"We are proud to have participated in the event and of what we have achieved as a team."
The hardy bunch have put together a YouTube film of the event, which can be viewed here.
