Kcom connects with Sentry 42 for datacentre deal
Integrator wins three-year comms deal with datacentre provider
Integrator Kcom has clinched a three-year communications deployment deal with datacentre specialist Sentry42.
The firm will be responsible for maintaining the internet access and local area network at Sentry42's new colocation datacentre facility in Norfolk.
The site is the first to be opened by Sentry42, which is the colocation arm of datacentre provider Migration Solutions.
Kcom's vendor accreditations with Cisco, Avaya, F5 Networks and Juniper are said to have been key in helping the firm secure the deal.
Alex Rabbetts, managing director of Sentry42, said: "We chose Kcom to provide our communications services because they showed far and away the best knowledge of the relevant systems."
Paul Simpson, executive group director of Kcom, added: "This is the first time we will be providing the communications services for a partner's colocation facility, rather than our own.
"However, tailoring communications and connectivity managed services to the needs of our customers is exactly the type of work we specialise in," he added.
