Absolute Software goes two-tier with e92plus
Distributor hooks up with laptop theft recovery vendor
E92plus has unveiled Absolute Software as its newest vendor signing as the laptop theft recovery specialist shifts to a two-tier channel model in the UK.
Canada-based Absolute Software claims its Computrace and LoJack products achieved a record number of 600 recoveries for businesses and consumers in March.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of e92plus, said the software allows firms to track or wipe and disable lost or stolen mobile devices. The vendor also has a device management solution for iPhones and iPods, he stressed.
Gupta said the distributor would now take charge of Absolute Software's 20-odd UK partners and would look to enlist more.
For the three months to 31 March 2011, Absolute Software saw revenue rise by nine per cent annually to CAN$18m (£11.4m). The vendor claims it has successfully recovered almost 20,000 mobile devices since it was founded 17 years ago.
