EMC appoints new UK and Ireland boss
Storage behemoth hands UK and Ireland reins to James Petter
EMC has followed last month's shake-up of its EMEA management team by handing the reins of its UK and Ireland business to James Petter.
Prior to his appointment as country manager for the UK and Ireland, Petter (pictured) was responsible for spearheading the storage giant's EMEA global accounts programme.
His new role requires him to oversee the vendor's revenue-generation activities and wider business strategy across the UK and Ireland.
He replaces, and will now report to, Adrian McDonald, who took over the role of president for EMEA-North last month.
"EMC is looking to grow at a rapid pace in its international markets over the coming years, and continued growth in the UK and Ireland will be key to our ambitions," said McDonald.
"We have the financial strength, a strong product road map and, in James, a leader of proven quality."
