Trustmarque looks to innovation
VAR's recent TE2011 event is hailed a success as it aims to get closer to partners and customers
VAR Trustmarque is hailing its recent TE2011 event a success as it urged its partners and customers to upskill, innovate and invest for the future.
The event, which took place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London last week, kicked off with a keynote from former trade minister Lord Digby Jones, who said the UK needed to "innovate" its way out of the recession to stay ahead of the threat from globalisation.
Futurologist Richard Watson also talked about the threats posed by the rise of the East and the fact that smartphones will outsell PCs next year.
Visitors included a mix of public sector and private sector clients and vendor partners such as Dell, Microsoft, Citrix, Hitachi and Check Point.
Other focal points of the show included a cloud zone for Trustmarque to showcase its new cloud offerings following its acquisition of Nimbus Technology Systems, and its range of services.
Scott Haddow, chief executive of Trustmarque, was satisfied with the day. “We are really pleased with the level of attendance. We are always keen to add value for our partners and deliver trusted advice to our customers, and this event was the perfect opportunity to combine both roles. We just have to start working on how we can make next year even better.”
