ACS celebrates the double
VAR smashes previous turnover records in FY2010, as well a "record-breaking" March
VAR ACS is celebrating a double whammy with its best financial year ever in 2010 and a record-breaking trading month in March.
The Northampton-based firm was set up in 1995 and turned over £500,000 in its first year. Its recent financial results for FY2010 saw a £20.6m turnover.
Jon Thorpe, joint managing director of ACS (pictured), said: “I am absolutely delighted at the way we are performing, and it is a tribute to all our talented team that we can report such fantastic news.
Thorpe said the company had navigated through some "turbulent waters" after the economic downturn kicked in three years ago.
“But through sheer hard work our rocky ride was thankfully short,” he said.
“The annual results we were able to announce to our staff are a reward for all that hard work. We are really excited about the future. Expansion will include the opening of new offices to reflect our growing reputation, not just in Northamptonshire but around the country.”
The financial results mark a year of success for the firm – for the second year running, it was listed in the Sunday Times’ 100 Best Companies to Work For.
It was also awarded a three-star grading – the highest possible – in the Best Companies Accreditation Awards, and ranked in the top 20 in Europe’s Managed Service Providers survey.
Other highlights of the year include being granted Apple Authorised reseller status in 2011, and very recently securing its Microsoft Gold partner status once again.
