Centralis and Syscap flex up for virtualisation push
Integrator and finance provider join forces to get end-user IT projects moving
Integrator Centralis has teamed up with finance provider Syscap to help fund end users' virtualisation projects.
The firms claim the collaboration will help Centralis customers virtualise their IT assets by allowing them to switch between capex and opex budgets as required.
Rob Greenslade, sales and marketing director at Centralis, said: "We can help organisations find the optimum [virtualisation] solution, with much greater flexibility at reduced cost and risk.
"With interest rates currently low, there is a significant opportunity for firms to exploit and align business strategy with procurement," he added.
Under the terms of the initiative, end users are given the option of switching between capex and opex in order to keep overall project costs down.
For example, if capex is required but unavailable, Centralis customers can lean on their opex reserves by signing up for an operating lease instead.
Philip White, chief executive of Syscap, said: "Our intelligent finance model will help businesses improve their cashflow, provide them with a greater degree of flexibility for expansion and offer business tax benefits."
