This year's Samsung Champions Cup saw Kelway take the honours

The Kelway football team beat off a Westcoast eleven in the final of this year's 12-team Samsung UK Champions Cup tourney for distributors and resellers.

Westcoast scored two goals in the first half, matched in the second half by Kelway. Then, Kelway's key player Dariush Heravi rocketed another into the net with just three minutes to go.

The event was held at Surrey Sports Park. Reseller Misco came third in the tournament, which pitted 12 teams representing Samsung's leading channel partners against each other.

Kelway won VIP tickets to a Chelsea match and a trophy.

Graham Long, UK and Ireland vice president of IT at Samsung, said: "The day was an opportunity for some of Samsung's key IT business channel partners to come together, network and enjoy playing football.

"It was fantastic to see an incredibly high standard of football, and fun being had by all. Our congratulations go out to Kelway."

The competition also featured teams from Computer 2000, Danwood, ETC, European Electronique, Ingram Micro, Micro P, Midwich, Stone, and XMA.
