HP Networking appoints new EMEA head

Nick Watson takes the hotseat with responsibilities including channel resource management

HP has appointed Nick Watson as the head of its Networking business in EMEA as the vendor continues to shuffle its top-tier management.

Watson takes over the role of vice president of HP Networking from Carlos Sartorius, who is starting a new global position for HP Networking.

His remit will be to manage the business and oversee go-to-market and operational elements such as sales, supply chain, marketing, product portfolio planning, channel and partner resources, service and support, and finance.

He joins the vendor from arch rival Cisco, where he headed up the networking giant’s strategic private sector accounts.

Watson’s appointment is the latest in a long line of changes to HP Networking in EMEA – particularly in the UK – which has seen channel chief Helen Speak and solutions sales boss Richard Logan moving onto other roles; and Darryl Brick, UK and Ireland head, being replaced by Barry Bonnett.
