Oki lines up new head for corporate MPS business
Vendor aims to strengthen partner push around managed services
Oki has created a new role to lead end-user business across the UK.
The vendor has appointed Gavin Castelyn, formerly of Konica Minolta, to drive its managed print services (MPS) directly to corporate customers.
Castelyn said in a statement: "We will work closely with existing reseller partners to develop incremental revenue-generating opportunities by meeting with their corporate customers and identifying ways we can assist with their managed print strategy.
"Once customers are on board, they will be managed on an ongoing basis by one of our experienced reseller partners. We can also use this approach to incentivise dealers not currently working with us to join our ranks."
According to Oki, the appointment is part of a restructure of its sales approach.
Castelyn worked at the business offerings division of Konica Minolta for about seven years. most recently as commercial sales manager, focusing primarily on office automation and hardware.
