HP shuffles management pack again
Livermore gets board role, CIO steps down and new reporting lines are announced in latest round of changes
HP chief Leo Apotheker (pictured) has continued to make his mark by shaking up the vendor’s management structure once more.
Ann Livermore has been elected to the HP board after a 29-year career with HP, and will step down from her day-to-day management of the HP Enterprise Business.
Ray Lane, non-executive chairman, HP board of directors, said: “Ann’s distinguished role as a leader of our largest business, deep relationships with our most important customers, institutional knowledge of the company and its employees, and insights on the technology industry will be tremendous assets to our board of directors.”
In addition Dave Donatelli, executive vice president of HP’s Enterprise Servers, Storage, Networking and Technology Services division, and Bill Beghte, executive vice president of Software, will reporting directly to Apotheker, as will Jan Zadak, executive vice president of global sales.
Apotheker said: “These businesses play a vital role in our continued growth and success, and as such, Dave, Bill and Jan will report directly to me and help drive the overall direction for HP. In our ongoing effort to accelerate our progress in executing our strategy, we will continue to make the necessary changes that streamline our operations, drive focus and agility, and position us for success.”
Two executives are also leaving the company after it looks to ‘improve its focus’ on customer-facing businesses.
Chief administrative officer Pete Bocian has left after his role was ‘eliminated’, and chief information officer Randy Mott has also left. The search for a CIO replacement is underway.
Finally Todd Bradley, executive vice president, PSG will focus on the growing Chinese market, and Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president IPG, will spearhead HP’s Indian growth plans.
