Dell boosts printer warranty and support services
Vendor adds reliability claim for 3,5 and 7 series printers
Texan hardware giant Dell has announced an official reliability guarantee that will cover its range of printers.
According to Dell, this new guarantee is in addition to its existing warranty and support services, and is intended as an additional safeguard for SMBs in particular.
Dave McNally, EMEA head of imaging sales at Dell, said: "Business continuity is a key concern for SMBs today. Printing is an important consideration in this respect."
McNally said the new guarantee underlines the vendor's confidence in its printers' quality and reliability.
"We strive to deliver the best solutions and will continue to focus on initiatives such as this," he said.
The reliability guarantee promises that Dell will repair printers for free if they should fail, under the terms of the programme. It also promises to refund the original purchase price if a printer breaks down in less than 12 months.
However, it will initially run only from 20 June to 31 December this year on the 3, 5, and 7 series printers. Customers must also register their purchase with Dell within 30 days and upload a copy of their receipt or invoice as well as their personal registration number.
