Daisy follows the recruitment trail up north
Buy-and-build telecoms player wants to recruit 100 new staff in Lancashire over next six months
Acquisitive comms provider Daisy Group has announced plans to bolster its Lancashire-based workforce by recruiting 100 new staff over the next six months.
The comms provider was awarded planning permission to extend its headquarters in Nelson, Lancashire in February.
The extension work is nearing completion, and will allow the firm to house up to an additional 700 employees.
Within the next six months, Daisy said it hopes to enlist 100 new staff to work there, and is planning a recruitment day on Thursday 14 July to kick-start the process.
Gareth Kirkwood, chief operating officer at Daisy, said that prior to the extension, the firm's HQ was fit to burst, despite moving in only a year ago.
"One of the many reasons for expanding our Nelson base is to make room for the employees we have gained through acquisitions," he explained.
"However, the extra space in the new building will also mean there will be a particular focus on recruiting more staff to see us through this period of extreme growth."
News of the firm's expansion plans comes hot on the heels of its declaration last week that it was growing its business in Scotland to capitalise on the customer base acquired through its buyout of SpiriTel in November.
