Eurodata bought by Trinity Expert Systems
Merger, for an undisclosed sum, will create one of the largest Microsoft consultancies in the UK
Eurodata Systems has been snapped up by rival Microsoft VAR Trinity Expert Systems.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will see Coventry-based Trinity and London-based Eurodata combine to become one of the biggest Microsoft consultancies in the UK.
Speaking to ChannelWeb, Simon Aron (pictured), joint managing director of Eurodata, said the two firms had been speaking for some time and the deal was a nice fit.
“We have been running Eurodata for 20 years and celebrated our anniversary in December. Steve McDonagh [Trinity chief executive] is a great character in the industry and I am very comfortable in handing over 20 years' worth of work to him rather than some larger corporation or company.
“This deal makes Eurodata/Trinity one of the biggest Microsoft consultancies in the UK and we will have nine or 10 Gold Standards as well as all the Silver accreditations. They have all the software accreditations and we have all the infrastructure accreditations – it is a perfect fit.”
Aron said it was too early to say whether he and fellow managing director Des Lekerman will stay on in any capacity, and whether or not the Eurodata name will be changed to Trinity.
