Maverick makes Promethean hires

Interactive solutions vendor under spotlight at audiovisual distie

TDMaverick has hired a new business manager and appointed two dedicated field sales representatives to strengthen its Promethean account.

Sid Stanley, head of Maverick in the UK and Ireland (pictured), said the distributor already has a good foothold with Promethean's interactive whiteboards and the like but is aiming even higher.

"The challenging market conditions mean that resellers need more support than ever. These investments will enable us to provide more Promethean partners with additional sales training, demonstration and business development support," Stanley said.

He added that business manager Jonny Davey comes from 16 years at education IT reseller RM, including 10 years as a senior product and marketing manager.

Chris Dempsey, who will take on the role of Promethean field sales rep for the North, has been working in both the education and corporate markets for the past decade and has specific Promethean experience, Stanley said.

Jon Chambers, field sales rep for the South, has spent the past five years working for Promethean, most recently focusing on business development, said Stanley.

Corporate and education markets will be a particular focus for the new hires.
