Zenprise offers VARs a watertight SLA

Mobile device management promises to reimburse customers if cloud service fails

Mobile device management vendor Zenprise is putting its money where its mouth is by offering to reimburse users should its new cloud service suffer downtime.

Zenprise recently launched a cloud-based version of its mobile management software, which allows firms to secure and control data and applications used on smartphones and tablet devices.

The vendor claims the product is the first to provide users with a 100 per cent SLA, and backs this with a promise to reimburse them with service credits for every minute of downtime.

The firm's chief marketing officer Ahmed Datoo told Channelweb that the guarantee is necessary to promote trust in the cloud.

"We are not saying the service is never going to go down, but the fact we lose money when it does means we have every incentive to fix the problem as quickly as possible," he said.

"For companies operating in the channel, their reputation is staked on the quality of service their vendor partners provide, and this demonstrates our support for them."
