Corel appoints new UK and Ireland sales director
Former UK regional sales manager to lead boost for channel revenues and brand awareness
Graphics and digital media software vendor Corel has appointed former UK regional sales manager Niels van der Valk as its new sales director for UK and Ireland.
Brett Denly, vice president of EMEA sales at Corel, said the move was a bid to strengthen awareness of the brand and boost channel sales in the region.
"Being very familiar with the UK sales region, Valk is the perfect candidate to strengthen the great relationships we have built over many years with existing partners as well as build up a network of new partners," said Denly. "He has a wealth of experience with channel and other routes to market."
Valk has spent 11 years in sales at Corel. He's covered accounts including Benelux, France and Italy, and spent two years as regional sales manager for the UK.
According to Corel, Valk will look at signing up new channel partners to its partner programme and at capitalising on opportunities in new and developing niches.
