Computerlinks reaches TadaSoft's Restorepoint
Distributor bags exclusive UK and Ireland rights for vendor's network backup product
Computerlinks has bagged exclusive distribution rights across the UK and Ireland for disaster recovery vendor TadaSoft's Restorepoint product.
The appliance allows end users to back up and restore network, storage and security devices made by 35 vendors, including Cisco, Juniper and Check Point, via a single console.
Michael Bell, sales director at TadaSoft, said: "Organisations that have had disaster recovery plans in place for years regularly centrally back up their data and applications.
"Achieving the same and being able to recover from configuration changes or failures of multi-vendor network or security devices is far more complicated and typically requires a high degree of skill," he added.
Speaking to ChannelWeb, David Ellis, director of new technology and services at Computerlinks, said the product will help partners win new deals and add value to existing ones.
"Partners do not need to be trained in using any of the other [35] vendors' products to resell Restorepoint," said Ellis. "It gives partners the chance to revisit customer sites that contain multiple devices to try to win more business."
