Getronics and MindTree team up on service delivery
European IT services giant expands work with Indian outsourcer
IT services monolith Getronics is expanding its partnership with Indian outsourcer MindTree.
The two firms, which have worked together for seven years, have now formalised a joint service delivery agreement. The pair intend to bolster the range of services they can deliver together and work hand-in-hand on global IT services projects.
Over the last seven years, Getronics has outsourced 450 engineering roles to MindTree's around-the-clock delivery centres in Bangalore and Chennai. The two companies expect more "significant engagements in the future".
Acting Getronics chief executive Steven van Schilfgaarde said: "This strategic partnership between MindTree and Getronics has proven itself over the last seven years on two key objectives - cost reduction and improved quality of service - and now expands to include a joint go-to-market agreement."
Parthasarathy NS, head of infrastructure management services and independent testing at MindTree, added: "The engagement with Getronics is significant as it is a testimony of MindTree's ability to take up large-scale engagements and be measured on stringent SLA-based deliverables for managing critical IT infrastructure."
