Riverbed hires Hendrickx to run EMEA

Former EMC channel boss Willem Hendrickx joins WAN optimisation vendor in wake of Marcus Chambers' departure

Riverbed has hired former EMC channel chief Willem Hendrickx to fill the gap left by the recent departure of long-standing EMEA head Marcus Chambers.

Hendrickx joins the WAN optimisation vendor from IT services firm Tieto in the post of vice president of EMEA sales.

Before Tieto, Hendrickx was senior vice president of global channels at EMEA and has racked up 20 years of sales and business development experience in his career.

Dave Peranich, executive vice president of worldwide sales at Riverbed, said: "Willem is a seasoned leader in the enterprise market and comes to Riverbed with a successful track record in developing new business opportunities that have resulted in strong revenue growth."

Hendrickx added: "My goal is to further enhance sales opportunities throughout EMEA by building on existing programmes to expand and strengthen relationships with our customers and partners."
