Simplexo launches search for partners
Vendor needs partners that can embed its enterprise search technology in their cloud-based applications
Simplexo is on the hunt for hosting providers to white-label its new Search Your Cloud service, which allows end users to locate PC files in the cloud.
The service enables users to index copies of files that are stored on desktop PCs or handheld devices in the cloud and search for them remotely via another device.
Speaking to CRN, Simon Bain, chief technology officer at Simplexo, said the service is "ultra-secure" because if hacked, all the indexed documents are encrypted and cannot be traced to their owners.
"We are planning to white-label the technology so that partners can embed it into their own cloud-based applications," added Bain.
"In particular, we are looking to partner with organisations that have their own infrastructure, such as telecom companies and hosting providers."
At the moment, the enterprise search engine vendor does not have a "rigid partner programme" in place, said Bain, but is working with partners to shape its contents.
"We are being led by them on how they want us to play it and what they want from us to help them grow their business," he explained.
