CCS Media on course for £70m turnover
Strong server sales drive 21 per cent rise in first-half revenue for Chesterfield-based VAR
VAR CCS Media claims it is on course to hit £70m turnover this year after first-half revenue leapt by more than a fifth on the back of soaring demand for servers.
The Chesterfield-based firm, which has just achieved Premier Partner status with Dell, saw sales for the six months to 30 June rise 21.3 per cent annually to £36.4m.
Server sales spiked 78 per cent while office product sales rose 37 per cent.
Managing director Terry Betts (pictured) said the results reflected the firm's recent investment in a new technical centre in Acton.
CCS has also just taken on 10 experienced sales staff and developed an apprenticeship scheme working with local colleges, said Betts.
"We are very pleased with our performance so far in 2011 and should exceed our goal of £70m turnover for the whole year," he added. "Being one of the top recruiters in the industry, recognising talent and rewarding our staff increases results."
