ForeScout issues warcry as it unveils new partner programme

Access partner scheme features online deal registration and global partner portal

Automated security control vendor ForeScout claims its new partner programme will allow its resellers to heap more pain on Cisco and Juniper.

The US-based vendor, whose solution addresses the areas of NAC, mobile control, endpoint compliance and threat prevention, launches its Access partner programme today.

Access will allow partners to register deals online for the first time. It also sees the launch of a new global partner portal which features new materials including co-branded mailing campaigns, seminars-in-a-box and information on competitors.

John Hagerty, EMEA sales director at ForeScout (pictured), said the launch of the two-tier programme was "part of us growing up as a company". As in the previous regime, resellers will be tiered as either Gold or Silver partners.

Access will also allow partners to deliver ForeScout's messaging more quickly and efficiently as they do battle with the market goliaths, said Hagerty.

"We are happy to compete against Cisco and Juniper as we have fundamentally different approaches to solving similar problems," he said. "Ours is by far the easiest to implement as the solution can be made to work in a matter of hours, and this is borne out by Gartner."

Hagerty said Forescout is recruiting selectively to add to its eight-strong line-up of regular UK partners, which includes CAE Technology Services, Data Integration, Axial Systems and Synetix.

"We recognise we have a great channel and want to do right by them," he said.

Ash Hussain, managing director of Axial, said: "ForeScout has the advantage of being a clientless solution so you don't have the overheads you have with Juniper and others. It's genuinely technology-agnostic and every proof of concept we have done has been done within days."
