Midwich announces 12 appointments

Business development under the microscope at distributor

Midwich has hired a dozen staff to boost business under the aegis of the distributor's general sales manager, Lee Hooker.

An account manager for larger audiovisual resellers in the north, especially integrators in the pro-AV space, has been recruited in the form of former Sahara, Steljes and Medium man Phil Waterhouse [pictured, left].

Pro-audio resellers are getting additional specialist support from Steven Totterdell [pictured, bottom left] and Jonathan Goodsell as business development executives. Totterdell has three years of sales experience at Midwich, as well as a background in audio.

Goodsell [pictured, right] also comes from a strong pro-audio background and has a wealth of technical knowledge to offer resellers, according to Midwich.

Projector business development executives Neil Harvey, Patrick Durham and Nicola Maguire will assist the Panasonic, Hitachi and Sony accounts, respectively. Maguire will also work on the business development of Sony's large-format displays.

Perdee Stagg has come on board as Philips Aopen business development executive, and Arvin Mohabeer as consumer business development executive on the LG account.

Four new team members have also been added to home tech division MidwichHome.

Marc Waple has taken the role of regional sales manager for the southern area and south west London at the division. Ian Martin is new regional sales manager for the east of England, north east London and Scotland. Dave Ball has taken the reins as regional sales manager for the northern area and Midlands.

Russell Hughes is the new technical support manager for MidwichHome.
