Samsung tempts VARs with Series 6 promos

Vendor has top-three PC vendor place in sights as it launches latest business notebook through partners

Samsung is pressing ahead with its plans to be a top-three PC vendor by tempting VARs with a range of offers on its latest launch.

The firm has unveiled the last product in its range of Business Notebooks – the Series 6 – and is hoping to kickstart a sales drive through the channel, via partnerships with Computer 2000, Westcoast, Micro-P, Ingram Micro and SCC.

It is offering end user customers a £125 trade-in on any new Samsung Business Notebook if they trade in their old product by 30 October. The firm also offers a so-called Always On guarantee, which gives customers a notebook repair and a full refund if they experience any problems. This offer runs until 30 September.

Damian Cusick, general manager of computing at Samsung UK and Ireland, said: “As Samsung strives to become one of the top-three notebook vendors by the end of 2012, we are building on our strength in the netbook market to deliver a more robust offering. With the Series 6 notebook completing the family of business notebooks, we now have products to specifically cater to varying business needs.”
